About This Project
This collection of anonymous responses, created in April 2024, highlights the diverse responses to the above question.
I created this booklet to showcase the complexities of loss, specifically, the loss of important people. To some extent, we have all experienced such a loss, whether the person has passed away, cut ties, or is not as close as they once were. While experiencing loss is often isolating, this booklet demonstrates that many of us experience similar emotions as one another, both positive and negative.
Each response was anonymously collected from participants on a hand-written sticky note and photographed for this compilation. The covers feature quotes from participants before (front covers) and after (back covers) they wrote the notes. I designed and digitally archived the booklet’s covers and pages.
